George ArbocusVICE PRESIDENT
I am a life long resident of Bellmawr attending kindergarten at Crescent Park School, 1st to 8th grade at Annunciation B.V.M. and class of 1983 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School.
My education continued as I majored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business Management at Drexel University.
I have been in Food Manufacturing for the better part of 37 years holding the positions of Plant Manager and Quality Manager.
My current role is as Corporate Manager of Technical Services at Chelten House Products, Inc. in Logan Township, NJ where I have been employed for over 17 years.
My position gives me oversight of multiple facilities and extensive experience dealing with State and Federal agencies such as the Department of Health and FDA. I am responsible for all third-party inspections of our facilities as well as coordinating all internal audits.
I am a certified HACCP (FDA) coordinator and SQF practitioner and have held numerous positions with the Association of Dressings and Sauces (Executive Technical Board, Quality Assurance Committee Chairman, Technical Board, Membership Council Chairman) as well as a member of the Institute of Food Technologists.
I have a proven record of accomplishment developing cost saving initiatives and engineering solutions for increased efficiencies and profitability. My trouble shooting skills enable me to react proactively instead of reactively saving time and money.
Personally, I have two wonderful children who reaped the benefits of going through our Bellmawr school system. My son was lucky to have the same teacher as I had 35 years prior.
I am an avid hockey fan and was on Bellmawr’s first street hockey team which was played indoors. My son also participated early on and I was an Assistant Coach for his team. I have been both a Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms Season Ticket Holder.
I am a lifelong member of Annunciation Church (St. Joachim Parish)
As I have gone through life I have had many opportunities to leave our town but the love for this town has kept me here. My parents started our family here as I did with mine. I still have numerous family members who have stayed or came back to Bellmawr.
I learned my work ethic from my Father who worked tirelessly to support his family and friends. This mindset has guided me in my successful career and now I am looking to help the town I love so much. He established our strong family base here and ingrained the town pride in us all.
Our town needs to again be the place families take root in, grow and flourish. A place where town pride is shown regularly, not just at parades or election time.
We need to rebuild our foundation literally and figuratively - strengthen the condition of the infrastructure, stabilize taxes, increase home values, and attract families who want to find their “Home Town”.
